WHEN TO WEAR

Face masks are recommended by the CDC in public settings where social distancing is difficult to maintain. 


As public places and businesses open up, masks are an essential part of your prevention strategy, They will help protect your employees and customers by stopping the spread of COVID particles. 


Masks should not be worn during exercise or other strenuous activities.

HOW TO WEAR
1. Before putting on the mask, wash your hands.
2. Check the mask for dirt and use another if dirty or damaged.
3. Place mask snugly over mouth and nose, making sure there are no gaps.
4. Change mask as soon as it gets damped or dirty.
5. Wash your hands before removing the mask. 
6. Remove the mask by using the straps. Avoid touching your face.
7. Place mask in a resealable bag or launder immediately.

WASH AND CARE

Masks should be washed before and after each use. For instructions by the CDC please visit this link.


- Face Masks can be washed with regular laundry.

- As recommended by the CDC, Face Masks should be washed at warm temperatures.

- Face Masks should be placed in the Dryer with a high temperature setting or placed under direct sunlight. 

- Do not Dry Clean or Tumble Dry Cloth Face Masks.

EFFECTIVENESS

Our masks are made according to the guidelines set by the CDC where a cloth face mask will protect others in case the wearer is infected. with a dual layer of fabrics.


These masks are not to be used in place of protective equipment or in areas of high infection. 


The mask should be changed as soon as it gets damp.  


Masks with valves should not be used as the air exhaled is not filtered. Thereby, defeating the purpose to stop the spread of COVID particles..


WEARING A MASK DOES NOT REPLACE OTHER SAFETY MEASURES SUCH AS SOCIAL DISTANCING AND HAND HYGIENE.

HOW IT'S MADE


Fabric

Location: Canada

Choosing the right fabrics can make a world of difference. We currently use Organic Cotton and Recycled Polyester for our masks. Both fabrics have a lower environmental impact than their traditional counterparts. Organic Cotton is grown without the use of harmful chemicals and pesticides. Our Recycled Polyester is made from water bottles recycled in Canada. 


Cut & Sew

Location: Toronto, ON

Fabric is stored, cleaned and cut at Peace & Cotton's factory in Toronto using CDC's recommended process. Safety precautions are taken to ensure the safety of the workers and the products. Masks can be custom made according to any specific requests made by a client.


Printing

Location: Toronto, ON

Masks are printed according to the designs requested by our clients using silk screen printing. All inks used are PVC, Phthalate and lead free. Masks can be custom printed according to designs requested by clients.


Shipping

Location: Toronto, ON

All masks are carefully packaged and inspected before being shipping out to a client. We currently ship our masks all over Canada and USA.

The mask should not be seen as protective equipment replacing surgical or N95 masks, etc where such masks are deemed essential.
